-1-
When the wax of your body is alight
The sand and the shore rejoice
And the duck rests
And the wave claps until it is full
And clings to rich your chest...
And rises on it
Like a child, to jump.
-2-
...And for years and years,
My shores have been forgotten
No sun for them It rises
And its light shines
On your sweet hills
-3-
And that's why the promise
Is delayed even more
It lingers in the night of the barren land
And the valley darkens
I am alone, waiting
The waves are rising
And with them rise arches
That their people will not return
-4-
Oh, woe to you, woe to you
Oh, ignorant waves
Whose tears float
On the rocks Thirsty
And time has no life
It dies before my eyes
It consumes my dreams
That aged on the embers
-5-
Oh, if only I could
Colour the sea blue
For the eyes of a mermaid
Waiting for summer
So that she might drown in its sun
And swim before her
While her body writhes
I gasp with her image
Every time the candle lights up!
